The mission of the POP event is to continue raising awareness and granting funds for women and children who in our community. Beyond that, our mission for this event specifically is to use it as a spring board for our developing work in 2024, including a new collaborative campaign which will intersect with our parenting efforts over the past few years.

About the Power of the Purse
The Women’s Fund Power of the Purse demonstrates our dedication to improving the lives of women and girls. Hundreds of women and men come to an afternoon of pure excitement. They dine on specially catered food, listen to the inspirational voice of our carefully selected celebrity speaker, and enjoy the ultimate power of philanthropy. In recent years, we’ve had celebrities such as Ginger Zee, Jeannette Walls (author of The Glass Castle), Shark Tank’s Daymond John, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Leigh Ann Tuohy and Erin Brockovich inspire us with their amazing stories of perseverance and philanthropy.
