How We See It
Social Change
The primary goal of the Women's Fund grantmaking process is to create social change in the lives of women of all ages in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.
The Women's Fund views social change as that which addresses the root cause of a problem that negatively impacts the lives of women and girls. True social change can be measured both now and in the future.
In other words, we believe in teaching women how to cook-- not just providing them money to buy the food like many organizations do. Social change is about teaching women to make lasting changes in their lives that will benefit them down the road.
The areas in which we hope to affect change through Women's Fund grants are:
- safety from abuse and crime
- economic self-sufficiency
- health and well-being
By funding programs that address the underlying causes of these deeply rooted societal problems, we can make a difference in the lives of women and girls now, and in the generations of women and girls to follow.
